Wine and cocktails will be available at a cash bar. DiVino selected and donated three wines for the evening. Each wine not only pairs with Spoonfed’s dynamic and varied cuisine, but also represents core values of Community Word Project.
Innovation, Mentorship, and Passion
Brazilian Bubbly (Brut)
Família Geisse Cave Amadeu Brut is an exceptional Champagne-style wine made in Brazil. The Geisse family took a chance in 1979 and is now a top producer in a surprising new wine region.
South African Chardonnay
Aslina Chardonnay 2018 is a richly aromatic and balanced expression of the grape. Ntsiki Biyela made history as South Africa’s first Black female winemaker, despite never having tasted wine until she set foot in the classroom. She is ardent supporter of mentorship programs to encourage the next generation to follow in her footsteps.
South African Cabernet Sauvignon
Aslina Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 is a robust and complex Cabernet-based blend. Ntsiki Biyela believes in letting the land speak for itself while delicately coaxing out elegant and complex flavors. She works exclusively with sustainable farms and fair trade vineyards. Read more about Ntsiki Biyela and Aslina.
