DiVino founder, Annie B. Shapero is a certified sommelier with eight years of experience in Italy and another decade stateside where she has worked in nearly every aspect of the wine and hospitality industry. Annie understands that not everyone feels equipped to talk about wine. Unlike in much of the western world, wine can feel like a member’s only club in the United States. Our goal is to change that.

“Wine should be exciting, thought-provoking and delicious, not intimidating!

Wine is a language. Learn how to speak it.

At DiVino we believe that wine is more than vocabulary. Like any language, wine is culture, tradition, and context. Wine is also storytelling, and the wine tasting can be a powerful, multisensory experience, for anyone from the curious wine lover to the wine connoisseur. Whether you are looking for in-person education or a digital distance learning option with virtual wine tasting, our goal is to deepen your wine experience and give you the tools to join the wine conversation.

DiVino provides wine education experiences both  in-person and virtually. To schedule your next class, have a look at our three-step discovery process.

Create a classroom environment or keep it casual.

We have organized and executed large-scale wine seminars for an Italian cultural center complete with course materials, as well as walk-around tastings for corporate enrichment events.

We’ve entertained best friends for a rosé-scented birthday party and even customized a class for a couple seeking an introduction to fine wine prior to a romantic dinner out.
