Made from 100% Gamay grapes, this wine is a vibrant purple-tinted ruby red with aromas of ripe cherry, strawberries and pomegranate. Dry, fruity, and fun, with and definitely meant to drink right now. Serve slightly chilled to make fruit flavors pop.

Freixenet Excelencia Brut Cava

Freixenet is the name of game in high-end Cava. The classic-method, ie Champagne-style sparkler costs just shy of $15. It’s dry to the bone and fizzing with fresh citrus and tropical fruit notes.  Suggested food and wine pairing: Drink as an aperitif! Freixenet sells out fast. A great alternative for a few more dollars is Elvi Cava Brut.

Ramon Cardova Rioja 2017

100% Tempranillo. A classically styled young Rioja bursting with notes of dark cherry and sweet spices. The oak aging is minimal and balanced. The wine is perky and crisp on the palate with a medium fruity-spicy finish. As it opens it plumps up a bit on the palate, so take your time if you can help it!

A dark and brooding Syrah, blended with Petit and Grenache, this wine is made from grapes grown in the cool Golan Heights. It is lush with aromas of plum and brambly blackberry. 18 months in French oak barrels bestows a pleasant spiciness along with the innate clove-like spice of the Syrah.

Bartenura Moscato

Bartenura has cornered the market, but not without merit. At this price point it delivers as promised. Fresh, young, aromatic, and fizzy, it’s like a frappe of white grapes and ripe peaches on the nose. Sweet on the palate and on the finish, there is a touch of acidity some bubbles for balance, but this certainly a dessert wine. Serve chilled.

Cantina Giuliano Rosato 2020

Is there Kosher rosé? Yes! In this case, it hails from Tuscany and is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. The aromas are rich and fruity, but do not be deceived, this rosé is crisp and bright on the palate and finishes quite dry with a touch of sea-salty minerality.

Terra di Seta Speciale Riserve Chianti Classico 2018

100% Sangiovese. Rich and a little rustic, this deep-purple tinted ruby red, dry wine has lovely red fruit notes as well as classic Sangiovese notes of red cherry, leather, and Mediterranean herbs. Evolved acidity that still stings a bit at first but has mostly smoothed with time. Juicy.
